Our 5G Wireless Internet WiFi System – WiFiX NEXS2GO with Quectel RM502Q-AE 5G Modem is all you need for a complete 5G cellular hotspot router using the high performance Quectel RM502Q-AE 5G wireless cellular modem together with the WiFiX NEXS2GO router.
Assembly is included
The Quectel RM502Q-AE 5G Modem is a 4×4 MIMO modem, meaning it uses 4 separate antennas. That means that you have to add a second pair of antennas to the modem adapter enclosure. This kit includes a full set of 4 antennas as well as the four needed antenna connectors for the modem to router. The modem adapter enclosure is needed, as the Quectel RM5xx series modems do not fit inside the NEXS2GO. This works only with our USB3 to M.2 Modem Adapter Enclosure.
This kit can be paired with our convenient to mount all in one 4×4 MIMO outdoor antenna for a strong signal when outdoor antennas are needed for signal improvements, or a pair of our High Beam X2 antennas for even more boost. We also have an all in one antenna bundle for mounting this router and modem in our outdoor 4×4 MIMO antennas enclosure.
The Quectel RM502Q-AE is a very powerful modem and has power requirements that can be more than the stock power adapter that comes with most routers. It is recommended to add a quality cell phone style plug-in charger with Micro-B USB connector for auxiliary power input. We want to make sure you have all the amps you will need to deliver reliable modem power.
NOTICE: The Quectel RM502Q-AE is also a Category 20 LTE modem. LTE and 5G in one modem. This is a “5GNR” modem. It supports “New Radio” 5G bands, it does not support mmWave 5G bands.

Let me start with I bought 3 of these from TheWirelessHaven Team. I had been using an AIRMASTER 4000D with a Calyx SIM when I lost BAND 41 due to the T-Mobile merger with Sprint and was left without Internet. I learned about 5G and contacted TheWirelessHaven team and from the start they helped me plan the right solution, answering all my questions and literally walked me through the transition process over the span of a month while we worked together to get everything dialed in. While on Band 41 4G/LTE I was getting 25mbps, after working with TheWirelessHaven Team on 5G connecting to a tower 11.5 miles away I am getting 40mps pretty consistently and 50-70 mbps at times with an even stronger signal. I cannot say enough about Richard and his patience to work with me to get everything up and running, it was very refreshing to get true customer service and response to all my questions. And yes I am still using my Calyx SIM! If you are looking to move to 5G, I am confident that they can help you make the transition! A side note, I tested the MOFI 5500 during this process and yes it is a few dollars less expensive than this setup but when I pressed the MOFI Team for the same questions I was treated pretty bad since 5G is still new and being rolled out including the 5G modems and routers that support. Save yourself time and effort and get the equipment and more importantly the team to support you for a 5G build, that is what TheWirelessHaven Team did for me.
