These are soooo cool, and very very handy. You can use it to add a connection to your weatherproof box that already has one of course, or when building your own enclosure.
Get a weatherproof enclosure, mount in a router of choice, or modem in an adapter, then plug in a poe powered LAN cable and use a poe / power plug splitter inside to your device. All kinds of cool ways to use this to get a LAN cable safely through a weatherproof enclosure.
Make sure you use dialectric grease all over the screw threads and seals though, it can leak without it. MAYBE! Just be safe anyway
